Purpose that WPC handles

WPC (? )treatment is a technology for improving the surface of metal, which purpose on improving the fatigue durability and the fiction durability of metal parts.

So what is the “improving fatigue durability”? The rigidity of metal decreases after bearing repeated pressure. E.g. supposed that the initial durability of parts is 100, over 100 pressure would damage the parts. However, the pressure of 50 or 60 cannot damage parts, but after millions of pressing, the parts would be damaged. This is called ‘Metal Fatigue’. Just like weakening the spring. WPC treatment is not improving the metal rigidity but improving the metal fatigue durability. In one word, such a treatment can extend the parts life, which could be damaged under continuous use.

"Improving Fiction Durability" is for improving the slickness to decrease the fiction. After the WPC treatment on friction part of metal parts, the burned phenomenon would be avoided for decreasing friction, therefore, the durability of parts would be improved. In addition, after the WPC treatment on the structural parts of engine, the sensitivity and the consumption of fuel would be improved.


The Principle of WPC Treatment

WPC treatment is ejecting on the material with the size of 40-200 micron and speed of 100m/sec. Alike WPC, another treatment is called shot peen or hard shot peen for improving the metal fatigue durability, such treatment is used for the parts of gear and spring. WPC treatment can improve metal fatigue durability better than the above two treatments. Especially, the metal surface could have some tiny roughness, which could hold the lubricant well for improving the lubricant performance.

On the other hand, WPC treatment is much different from the present technology, WPC treatment is a surface technology of heat treatment. Because of the high speed of ejecting, the heat from the bounce can melt the metal. Once the melted metal that’s in front of a cold surrounding, becomes tiny crystal like meanwhile; it would repair the rimula sitting on the surface. For the fall-off of crystal caused by friction, if the linking of tiny crystals improved then durability of the friction would be improved as well. Additionally, the rigidity of metal surface would be improved after WPC treatment.

Applicability of WPC Treatment

WPC treatment can deal with almost any kind of metal, e.g. steel gear, aluminum piston and aluminum alloy, lubricating oil pump of hot-melt metal, crank of ductility cast-iron, metal foam, plumbous alloy and titanium alloy, etc. Moreover WPC treatment can treat the surface of the gild and nitrided chrome and TIN etc, thus it exerts a chain effect. Additionally, the WPC treatment before the treatment of gild etc, the close-grained effect would be better.

After the treatment of WPC, the part cannot be deflected or variational sized. We cannot say there is no any change, but only 1-2 mecron after one bounce. WPC treatment can deal with the structural parts of engine and the exact parts with no worries.
